Ama Dablam Expedition - 26 Days

Ama Dablam Expedition Ama Dablam has long been considered the prettiest mountain in the world. Peak to Ama Dablam is more than just a climb as it’s a journey into the heart of the Himalayas. Ama Dablam demands the attention of every passer-by. High on her Southwest face hangs a glacier resembling a 'Dablam' - the sacred ornament box worn by ladies in the Sherpa community. From the summit you are surrounded by a vista of peaks like no other, five of the highest six peaks in the world are clearly visible. In recent years many parties have successfully climbed the mountain, with nearly all ascents via the original south west ridge route. Our ascent will be made via the conventional south west ridge route, a technical route that requires 3500m of fixed ropes and three camps above base camp. The climbing on the route involves pure rock climbing on exquisite granite followed by mixed snow and rock climbing.

Day 01 Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2840m) and trek to Phakding (2610 m)

Day 02 Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440 m).

Day 03 Rest and Acclimization day at Namche Bazaar.

Day 04 Trek from Namche Bazaar to Tyangboche (3820m)

Day 05 Trek from Tyangboche to Ama Dablam Base Camp

Day 06 - 21 Climbing Period for Ama Dablam

Day 22 Trek from Lobuche to Everest base camp (5364m)

Day 23 Trek from Base Camp to Tyangboche (3820m)

Day 24 Trek from Tyangboche to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Day 25 Trek to Namche Bazaar to Lukla (2840m)

Day 26 Flight back from Lukla to Kathmandu and end of the climbing.
