Dhampus Peak Climbing - 15 Days

Dhampus Peak ClimbingDhampus Peak (6012m) is situated in the heart of the Dhaulagiri region, on north east of the big Dhaulagiri massif. This peak is also called as Thapa Peak. In terms of the climbing techniques, it is an easy mountain to ascend. The overwhelming altitude differences between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges make Dhampus Peak a very vantage spot to observe the mountain with Tukuche Peak (6920m) and Dhaulagiri (8167m) close to you and enjoy the feeling of being part of the extreme altitudes of the Himalayas. This peak provides you more than thirty mountain views and as well as Dhaulagiri glacier and deepest gorges of the world. Nevertheless, impressive surroundings of seven and eight thousanders make this undertaking a real Himalayan adventure. The 3500 meter ascent from Tukuche, where our climb starts, makes you feel having gone really high. The normal route to Dhampus Peak follows the west-ridge, which connects Dhampus Pass (5200m), where our highest camp is placed, with the summit. This expedition exceeds the 6000 meter frontier; no technical climbing skills are required. The use of crampons depends on snow conditions.
